Manager, Publicity - Focus Features

Location: 30 Rockefeller Center, New York, NY, USA. Hybrid schedule requiring work from the office at least four days per week; extended hours and travel may be required.

Salary: $80,000–$105,000 per year, bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Execute publicity campaigns for theatrical releases, including pitching editorial outlets and securing bookings and exclusive placements.
• Manage press for screenings, premieres, red-carpet events, and other special events.
• Coordinate press days and junkets, including talent schedules, interviews, press invitations, and representative communications.
• Manage publicity agencies, budgets, spending reports, and campaign activities.
• Pitch and monitor editorial special issues and support awards campaign strategy.
• Collaborate with international, awards, digital publicity, marketing, field, and project teams.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in film publicity, including pitching and securing editorial coverage and working on awards campaigns.
• Experience working with publicity agencies and talent representatives.
• Strong relationships with journalists, talent representatives, and guilds.
• Experience organizing and executing events and premieres.
• Strong written, verbal communication, presentation, multitasking, and project coordination skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred, especially in media, journalism, or communications.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of specialty and independent films.
• Working knowledge of social media trends.
• Experience with film publicity and awards campaigns.
