Senior Data Engineer (Analytics)

Location: Brazil; remote home office

What you will do

• Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand business needs and define technical specifications.
• Own the full lifecycle of data products, from ingestion and modeling through transformation, validation, delivery, and monitoring.
• Build data transformation layers and analytical datasets for dashboards and AI applications.
• Develop and maintain ingestion pipelines using SQL and Python with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Implement automated testing, validation processes, and quality checks for data accuracy and KPI integrity.
• Collaborate with AI teams, communicate solution proposals, and document modeling and architecture decisions.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills for data analysis, transformation, and validation.
• Experience with data modeling, data warehouse design, and BigQuery or another cloud data warehouse.
• Ability to understand complex business logic and validate results from a business perspective.
• Experience preparing data requirements for AI or machine learning applications.
• Advanced or fluent English is required for continuous communication with international stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt for analytical pipeline transformation and orchestration.
• Familiarity with Airbyte or Airflow.
• Knowledge of automated testing and CI/CD practices for data pipelines.
