VP - Python Infrastructure Automation and Storage Engineer

What you will do

• Design and implement automation for storage provisioning, capacity management, and operational workflows using Python, Bash, and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Build REST API integrations and reporting tools for NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, and related infrastructure platforms.
• Reduce manual operational work through scripted workflows, self-service capabilities, and an automation backlog for the storage domain.
• Automate storage disaster recovery, platform upgrades, post-change validation, and Kubernetes-attached storage using Astra Trident.
• Partner with application and business stakeholders on capacity planning, platform roadmaps, architecture documentation, and runbooks.
• Lead root-cause analysis for storage incidents and implement permanent fixes through safe change practices.

Requirements

• Strong Python proficiency for infrastructure automation, REST API integrations, reporting, and operational workflows.
• Solid Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills, including Bash scripting in enterprise environments.
• Experience with or knowledge of enterprise storage platforms, including NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, or Cisco MDS.
• Knowledge of SAN protocols such as iSCSI, FC, NFS, and CIFS, plus Cisco MDS zoning and host masking.
• Exposure to Kubernetes storage concepts, including Astra Trident and persistent volume lifecycle management.
• Experience with Terraform or Ansible, GitOps practices, Agile delivery, ITIL, and enterprise ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
