Contract Management Technician (Epic)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States. Travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations may be required based on business needs.

Salary: $51,700–$99,000 annually, based on experience.

What you will do

• Load, validate, maintain, and troubleshoot contracts in Epic Contract Management.
• Balance files and maintain reimbursement rules, including Medicare OP, DRG, and managed care updates.
• Collaborate with clients and Contract Modeling Specialists on contract accuracy, reimbursement questions, and Epic system navigation.
• Use modeling tools and reports to identify payment variances for underpayment appeals and follow-up.
• Support financial initiatives through ongoing contract validation and reimbursement-based reserve calculations.
• Participate in knowledge sharing, training, Epic database imports and exports, and contract build activities related to product upgrades.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in payer reimbursement and at least two years of Epic Contract Management certification experience.
• Active Epic RHB390 Contract Administration certification for acute care and/or RPB390 certification for physician organizations.
• HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification.
• Knowledge of managed care organizations, contracts, payer products, and contract implementation and operational terms.
• Strong problem-solving, research, judgment, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or GED; proficiency with Epic or other contract management software and Microsoft Excel is recommended.

Nice to have

• Experience using Epic-supplied toolkits for Medicare OP and IP quarterly and annual updates.
• Experience with Epic Nova Notes and related contract build work.
