Senior SOC Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote - Canada

Salary: CA$108,000 – CA$135,000

What you will do

• Analyze and evaluate anomalous network and system events within a 24/7 SOC environment.
• Conduct lead-less threat hunting to uncover potential security incidents.
• Collaborate with MDR analysts to investigate emerging threats and serve as an escalation point for advanced intrusion analysis.
• Develop incident analysis reports and coordinate with business units to resolve security issues.
• Design and implement operational processes to improve SOC efficiency.
• Build test lab environments to research emerging techniques and contribute to threat operations knowledge.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada.
• 5+ years of experience in an information security role.
• 2+ years of experience triaging endpoint events from EDR/NGAV and supporting Incident Response.
• Deep knowledge of assessing threat indicators in Windows environments.
• Robust understanding of at least two of the following: Windows, Linux, or OSX.
• Familiarity with ELK stack and scripting/programming in PowerShell, Python, or Go.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in Digital Forensics and Incident Response.
• Malware analysis skills (behavioral or static).
• Experience with pentesting or Red/Blue team exercises.
