Location: USA - Remote. Moderate travel required, estimated at 11–25%.

What you will do
- Lead, recruit, manage, and mentor a team of full-stack and infrastructure engineers.
- Own the roadmap and execution for simulation workflow applications covering scenario management, run orchestration, tagging, taxonomy, and results analytics.
- Guide scalable cloud infrastructure and container orchestration for massive parallel batch simulation workloads.
- Oversee relational databases, secure high-throughput APIs, and frontend-to-backend systems connecting portals with simulation platforms.
- Drive reliability, observability, cost efficiency, and engineering best practices across the platform.
- Partner with the Simulation Engine team and stakeholders on integration interfaces and complex multi-quarter projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience across backend services and cloud infrastructure, including 2+ years of direct people management.
- Experience operating production workloads at scale on container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of relational database design and performance tuning, including ecosystems such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience building secure, high-throughput APIs and web services with Go, Python, and/or Node.js, plus modern frontend frameworks such as React.
- Experience recruiting, building, and mentoring full-stack or infrastructure engineering teams.
- B.S., M.S., Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with large-scale batch or parallel compute workloads.
- Experience managing cloud cost optimization and observability initiatives.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code, mature CI/CD pipelines, internal developer tools, or self-service platforms.
- Background in simulation, autonomous vehicles, or robotics.
