Location: Remote France, Remote Germany, or Remote UK

What you will do

  • Improve Session History test coverage in the Firefox DOM Core area.
  • Write Web Platform Tests and Gecko mochitests as needed.
  • Fix Gecko problems and ensure test cases pass.
  • Work through code review with Gecko module owners.
  • Iterate changes through upstream landing.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience with a browser-engine codebase or browser-engine automation, ideally Firefox/Gecko.
  • Solid JavaScript skills applied to automated test development.
  • Proficiency in C++ software development.
  • Strong debugging skills in a mature, large codebase.
  • Comfort working in the open with public bugs, code review, and upstream landing.
  • Ability to work remotely from France, Germany, or the UK.

Nice to have

  • Prior contributions to Gecko or another major browser engine.
  • Familiarity with web standards and Web Platform Tests.
