Program Coordinator I (Veterans Upward Bound)

Location: Kingsville, Texas, United States; on-campus role with up to 50% or more travel to target counties

What you will do

• Develop individualized educational plans and provide academic advising, case management, and support to Veterans Upward Bound participants.
• Monitor student progress, grades, participation, records, and barriers to academic success.
• Plan and deliver workshops, seminars, enrichment activities, recruitment events, and educational programming.
• Maintain program databases, documentation, statistics, budgets, and reports required by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Ensure program activities and records comply with federal grant requirements, university policies, and applicable regulations.
• Coordinate outreach, communications, marketing, social media, tutors, peer mentors, university partners, and community services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• At least two years of professional experience in a TRIO federal program or a similar veterans-support program.
• Experience providing case management and advising veterans through college admissions and financial aid applications.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must obtain export-control authorization before starting employment and comply with applicable state and federal laws and university policies.
• The position is security-sensitive and requires a criminal history investigation and credential verification.
