TL;DR
Senior Legal Counsel (iGaming): Managing B2B licensing, integration, intellectual property, regulatory, privacy, and corporate agreements for an international game supplier with an accent on commercial deal structuring and multi-jurisdictional compliance. Focus on negotiating revenue-driving contracts, protecting proprietary game assets, handling infringement disputes, and supporting expansion across regulated markets.
Location: Remote within the Central European Timezone +/- 2. Permanent employment is available in Malta; freelance contracting is available in other countries.

What you will do
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalise B2B licensing, aggregator, API integration, and service-level agreements.
- Structure commercial terms covering revenue share, platform integration fees, SLA guarantees, liability limits, and other deal protections.
- Advise compliance and product teams on iGaming regulation, supplier licensing, data privacy, market expansion, and local entity setup.
- Manage intellectual property protection, including copyright registrations, trademark filings, licensing, infringement disputes, and cease-and-desist actions.
- Protect game design elements, audio, artwork, source code, and trade secrets in collaboration with product and technology leads.
- Coordinate external legal counsel across jurisdictions and maintain records for compliance efforts, audits, investigations, and corporate governance.
Requirements
- Fully qualified lawyer in good standing.
- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in-house or at a top-tier law firm.
- At least 2 years of direct iGaming experience with a B2B game supplier or platform aggregator.
- Expertise in B2B software licensing, technology distribution agreements, and intellectual property law.
- Strong commercial negotiation, risk assessment, communication, prioritisation, and project ownership skills.
- Fluent written and spoken professional legal English; CV must be submitted in English.
