TL;DR
Legal Counsel (Live Productions, US / UK Qualified) (Live Productions): Advising on agreements and legal risks for content development, event production, distribution, marketing, sponsorship, and talent engagements with an accent on multi-jurisdictional compliance, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory matters. Focus on negotiating production contracts, designing risk mitigation strategies, managing disputes and incident responses, and delivering actionable guidance to business and creative stakeholders.
Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work at the headquarters, with an expectation to move to Madrid if currently living elsewhere

What you will do
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on agreements covering content development, event production, distribution, marketing, sponsorship, and talent engagements.
- Support production and business teams by identifying legal risks, designing mitigation strategies, and enabling compliant execution across multiple jurisdictions.
- Conduct legal research and provide clear, actionable guidance to executives and other stakeholders.
- Manage legal projects, contract workflows, legal databases, and internal compliance matters involving intellectual property, data privacy, and regulation.
- Support incident management and dispute resolution with litigation specialists and coordinate stakeholder responses.
- Prepare legal templates, guides, training materials, memoranda, and presentations.
Requirements
- Qualified and US- or UK-barred lawyer with at least 4 years of post-qualification experience.
- In-house experience in an experience-economy and/or live production company; top-tier law firm experience is an advantage.
- Native or bilingual English is required.
- Strong business judgment, strategic thinking, communication, emotional intelligence, and ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
- Ability to take ownership, prioritize resources, and manage multiple time-sensitive projects independently.
- Adaptability, self-motivation, and collaborative work style in a fast-growing organization.
