Senior Software Engineer (Kotlin/Spring Boot)

Location: Richen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany; flexible hybrid work from home or the office, with the option to work abroad for up to 40 days per year.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy, and operate software solutions for logistics and planning workflows.
• Manage complex software deployments in cloud infrastructure environments.
• Apply a Site Reliability Engineering mindset to improve uptime, reliability, latency, and efficiency.
• Integrate digital product delivery with physical logistics and manufacturing processes.
• Define, monitor, and evolve SLAs, SLOs, OEE, and other operational KPIs.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and support live software systems across product areas.

Requirements

• Senior-level software engineering experience, preferably with enterprise software, logistics systems, Site Reliability Engineering, or software operations.
• Practical experience with infrastructure, observability, testing, deployment pipelines, quality assurance, and scaling.
• Experience operating and supporting large-scale cloud software systems.
• Experience working in an operationally focused company, ideally in logistics or manufacturing.
• Proficiency with most of Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Linux, and PostgreSQL.
• Cloud Operations experience, including production monitoring and alerting and working with SLAs and SLOs.

• Experience with Azure.
