Cost Engineer (Power and Water): Managing budgets, costs, forecasts, variations, claims, payments, and final accounting for large-scale power and water transmission programmes with an accent on package-level cost control, earned value reporting, and EPC contract oversight. Focus on tracking committed and incurred costs, assessing commercial risks, resolving claims, and presenting financial status to clients and senior management.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain overall programme and individual work-package budgets.
- Track committed, incurred, paid, and forecast final costs against approved budgets.
- Prepare job cost reports covering earned value, variances, forecasts, and monthly movements.
- Review EPC contractor work valuations, payments, variation orders, insurance, bonds, and claims.
- Coordinate cost management activities with the client, supervision consultants, EPC contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare monthly Estimate at Completion forecasts, conclude final EPC contract accounting, and present commercial reports to senior management and the client.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar cost engineering role on programmes of comparable scope.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial management software.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and apply proactive risk and conflict management.
