Project Manager (eCommerce)

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa. Hybrid work with teams in the office an average of four days a week.

What you will do

• Lead complex software development and eCommerce projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Manage multiple workstreams, dependencies, milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, resources, and project budgets.
• Resolve blockers, improve delivery processes, and support teams with limited Agile experience.
• Prepare status reports and communicate project progress to stakeholders, sponsors, senior management, and business teams.
• Manage client expectations, resolve escalations, chair meetings, and build customer confidence.
• Support Junior Project Managers and maintain effective relationships across the account.

Requirements

• Proven Project Management experience in software development and eCommerce, ideally in a retail environment.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, release management, modern development practices, Agile delivery, and lean ways of working.
• Experience leading teams, managing people and financial budgets, monitoring project finances, and delivering against strict deadlines.
• Strong communication, negotiation, organisation, time management, critical thinking, and diplomacy skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written English and relevant Project Management qualifications.

Nice to have

• BA or BS degree in information management, marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
