TL;DR
Hardware Engineer (FPGA/ARM/MCU): Developing localized hardware for sorting machines, including schematics, PCB layouts, component selection, EMC and reliability design, with an accent on circuit design, debugging, testing, and production documentation. Focus on designing multilayer PCBs, integrating embedded controllers, and preparing BOM and Gerber files for manufacturing.
Location: Xiamen, China; onsite

TOMRA develops collection and sorting technologies for resource recovery, food, recycling, and mining applications, with a research and development center in Xiamen.
What you will do
- Develop localized hardware for sorting machines and their applications.
- Design electronic schematics and PCB layouts, including multilayer boards.
- Select components and implement EMC and reliability design.
- Debug and test hardware systems.
- Prepare production documentation, including BOM and Gerber files.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electronics or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hardware development experience.
- Experience with hardware design tools such as Altium Designer.
- Experience designing circuits with FPGA, ARM, or MCU components.
- Experience with PCB layout design for boards with 4 or more layers.
- Good English communication skills.
Nice to have
- MCU programming experience and familiarity with C.
- Experience in the machine vision industry.
