Application Architect (Oracle)

Location: Peabody, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid arrangement with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.

Annual hiring range: $121,300–$176,000.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain enterprise architecture standards for application, database, integration, security, and data architecture.
• Design secure, scalable, highly available, and resilient application solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Oracle.
• Design logical and physical Oracle database models, data access patterns, database objects, and high-volume transaction solutions.
• Develop and review complex SQL and PL/SQL, including stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, views, and indexes.
• Define API standards and integration approaches for internal systems, external applications, databases, and third-party services.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship throughout the software development lifecycle and communicate architecture decisions to stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of related experience with a four-year degree, 8 years with an advanced degree, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, and application/database integration.
• Experience designing enterprise applications and distributed systems with Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, enterprise integration patterns, application performance, scalability, security, and resiliency.
• Experience creating architecture documentation, presenting technical solutions, mentoring development teams, and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
