INOVASI 3 - District Support Officer NTT (Education)

Location: East Nusa Tenggara, including Sumba Barat and Timor Tengah Selatan, Indonesia. The position is open to Indonesia nationals; candidates must be resident in or willing to work in Timor Tengah Selatan and Sumba Barat.

Duration: Maximum 180 input days within a 12-month period, with the possibility of extension. This is a Short-Term Personnel position.

What you will do

• Coordinate with ecosystem, education, and monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning colleagues to plan and deliver district-level education activities.
• Engage government stakeholders, technical units, schools, communities, and other district partners in strategic planning and program implementation.
• Organize meetings, events, travel, materials, terms of reference, budgets, calendars, action tracking, and administrative activities.
• Support INOVASI partners and school communities in implementing program activities and facilitate the preparation of implementation reports.
• Provide updates on district education conditions and help identify effective models that could be scaled.
• Arrange monitoring and evaluation visits and assist with collecting, compiling, and verifying implementation data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field; a relevant master’s degree is an advantage.
• At least three years of experience in educational development programs within nonprofit or development organizations.
• Understanding of Indonesian education systems, policies, procedures, and primary education practice.
• Strong organizational, communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken Indonesian is essential. Basic English is an advantage.
• Must be resident in or willing to work in Timor Tengah Selatan and Sumba Barat, Indonesia.

Nice to have

• Experience in primary education, teacher quality development, school management, foundational skills, community participation, or gender equality, disability, and social inclusion.
• Experience working with DFAT or another development agency, particularly in education.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Basic English proficiency.
