What you will do
- Assist with developing, structuring, negotiating, and closing REIT and CRE loan transactions secured by high-quality assets throughout the United States.
- Monitor an assigned portfolio of REIT and CRE loans, including loan grading, credit quality, documentation, and covenant compliance.
- Analyze corporate financial statements, rent rolls, appraisals, construction information, and market data.
- Prepare detailed corporate and property-level cash flow projections using Excel, Argus, and other modeling tools.
- Prepare written and oral presentations for senior management, credit teams, syndication partners, and transaction discussions.
- Support market research, transaction due diligence, and coaching of incoming associates.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Up to two years of relevant experience; the listed general experience is 7β12 months.
- Knowledge of REIT and CRE credit analysis, finance and accounting principles, and applicable federal and state laws.
- Experience or ability in financial modeling, credit reporting, underwriting, loan structuring, transaction closing, and cash flow projections.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex problems, interpret policies, meet deadlines, and maintain effective client and team relationships.
- Ability to work as a resident employee at the Saint Petersburg, Florida home office.
