Senior Mixed-Signal Post-Silicon Validation Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States. The role involves access to ITAR-controlled information and requires a U.S. Person or eligibility for a federally issued export control license.

Base salary: $170,000–$250,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Bring up and characterize mixed-signal silicon, including ADCs, DACs, PLLs, clocking, references, power, and analog signal paths.
• Develop characterization plans across frequency, voltage, temperature, process, and operating modes.
• Measure converter and analog performance, including SNDR, SFDR, ENOB, INL/DNL, noise, bandwidth, jitter, phase noise, linearity, and power.
• Build automated test setups for characterization, regression testing, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Correlate silicon measurements with simulations, DSP algorithms, calibration algorithms, and system models.
• Debug issues across silicon, firmware, packages, PCBs, test equipment, and system behavior while supporting product integration and system-level testing.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in mixed-signal silicon validation, characterization, product engineering, or a related area.
• Strong understanding of ADCs, DACs, PLLs, clocking, analog circuits, signal integrity, noise, clock jitter, spectral analysis, and mixed-signal measurement techniques.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed oscilloscopes, spectrum and signal analyzers, vector signal generators, phase-noise analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, and related instrumentation.
• Experience developing automated characterization environments with Python or similar scripting languages and instrument-control interfaces.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR or be eligible for a federally issued export control license.

Nice to have

• RF/mmWave mixed-signal SoC experience and high-speed or RF-sampling ADC/DAC experience.
• Experience with digitally assisted analog circuits, calibration algorithms, automated PVT characterization, and large-scale measurement analysis.
• Familiarity with JESD204, FPGA-based test platforms, embedded firmware, SI/PI, high-speed PCBs, packages, and RF measurements.
