Location: London, with a hybrid model requiring onsite work 50% of the time

hirify.global is a global news organisation delivering business and financial journalism through the FT and specialist publications.

What you will do

• Report on Central European asset owners, with a focus on German-speaking pension schemes, insurers, charities, family offices and wealth managers.
• Build relationships with senior asset-owner representatives across the DACH region and Central Europe through interviews, meetings and industry events.
• Research and write original stories on mandate searches, tenders, manager appointments, asset-allocation changes and investment governance.
• Identify exclusive developments through annual reports, regulatory filings and other public sources.
• Maintain MandateWire’s proprietary market-intelligence database and generate stories for subscriber alerts.
• Produce features, analysis and multimedia content, and represent MandateWire at conferences, webinars and panel discussions.

Requirements

• German fluency at a professional level, including speaking, reading and translation.
• Excellent written English and the ability to produce clear, accurate and engaging content.
• Strong communication, interviewing, research and analytical skills.
• Ability to build relationships with senior industry contacts and manage competing deadlines.
• Curiosity, proactivity, strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of institutional investment, pensions, asset management or financial markets.
• Journalism or business reporting experience.
• Experience with multimedia production, webinars, panels or live events.
• Fluency in another European language.
