What you will do

• Develop practical podcast production and audio storytelling skills.
• Adapt documentary and film storytelling techniques for audio and podcast formats.
• Explore how audio, video, social content, and digital distribution work together.
• Build skills in scripting, structure, voice, editing, and imaging.
• Develop podcast ideas for real audiences and pitch them during the final showcase.
• Learn from audio, podcast, and media professionals while building an industry network.

Requirements

• Aged 18 or older.
• Based in or around Edinburgh, or able to travel to Edinburgh for in-person sessions.
• At an early stage of a creative career, or seeking to reskill from film, video, or documentary into podcasting.
• Interested in documentary, film, factual content, podcasting, audio, or digital storytelling, with some existing basic skills.
• Open to learning, experimenting, and working collaboratively.
• Able to participate in a blended programme of online and in-person sessions.

Hiring process
