What you will do
- Own the end-to-end software program plan from roadmap planning through implementation, integration, validation, and fleet release.
- Establish the software program management practice, including planning rhythms, milestone definitions, completion criteria, and decision-making artifacts.
- Build software plans aligned with organization-level milestones and track progress using the systems engineering teams already use.
- Monitor program metrics and communicate status, blockers, risks, and dependencies to leadership.
- Identify, escalate, and drive resolution of technical, dependency, and resourcing risks.
- Partner with hardware program management to create one integrated software and hardware program view.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably software engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of technical program management experience for software products.
- Experience taking software from early development through release and sustained operation.
- Strong software fundamentals and the ability to participate in architecture, planning, and systems integration discussions.
- Experience managing programs across multiple interdependent software domains, hardware revisions, and test hardware availability.
- High sense of urgency, comfort with ambiguity, ownership, and strong engineering curiosity.
Nice to have
- Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or another domain where software ships with hardware and real-world deployment constraints.
