Lead Piercer (Part-Time) (Contract Role)

Location: Park Royal, West Vancouver, Canada; onsite role

Salary: $27–$35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Oversee the complete piercing customer journey, including greeting, check-in, styling, transactions, service delivery, and aftercare education.
• Perform needle piercings while explaining procedures, risks, medical considerations, infection symptoms, material-specific care, and downsizing requirements.
• Manage the piercing studio, including cleanliness, sterilization, sharps and biohazard waste, equipment, inventory, client records, waivers, and legal documentation.
• Style and recommend piercing jewelry, including labrets, gemstones, metals, and ear-stack combinations.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager, Store Services, Operations Lead, and store staff on scheduling, booking, studio processes, inventory, and service improvements.
• Build appointment occupancy and local clientele while training colleagues and upholding hirify.global’s customer experience standards.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience performing needle piercings.
• Experience working with threadless jewelry and an autoclave or Statim.
• Current First Aid and Blood-borne Pathogens OSHA certifications.
• Must have or be registrable for applicable local permits and requirements, including practitioner registration, blood-borne pathogens training, First Aid/CPR, and vaccination requirements.
• Knowledge of local piercing laws, health and safety protocols, and consumer-service standards.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
