PIR Space and Mission Analysis (SpaM) Analyst (OPIR)

What you will do

• Analyze and produce intelligence from processed OPIR data for assigned space and missile mission threads.
• Apply remote sensing, detection phenomenology, and target phenomenology to standard and in-depth SpaM analytical efforts.
• Analyze electro-optical and infrared target phenomenology to characterize space and missile events.
• Use community-standard signature modeling codes to support target characterization and phenomenology assessments.
• Translate modeling results and sensor phenomenology into technical intelligence products, assessments, and briefings.
• Coordinate with sensor operations, PIR exploitation, and other production teams to maintain technical accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance, or the ability to obtain or transfer it, is required to start.
• Bachelor’s degree in physics, engineering, remote sensing, astronomy, or a related technical or scientific field, or equivalent experience or military-DoD training.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in OPIR processed data analysis and production.
• Knowledge of remote sensing fundamentals, detection phenomenology, and target phenomenology for space and missile production.
• Strong technical intelligence writing and briefing skills, with the ability to work independently and across production teams.
• Experience with SIPRNet, JWICS, and multi-INT fusion workflows.

Nice to have

• Detailed OPIR sensor phenomenology experience and significant experience with EO/IR signature modeling codes.
• Experience supporting NASIC, MDA, or another national intelligence or DoD space and missile analysis mission.
• Advanced degree in a relevant technical or scientific discipline.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, ENVI, SOCET GXP, MATLAB, or similar exploitation and modeling tools.
• Experience with NOVASTAR, ATEP II, or similar NASIC-supporting contract vehicles.
