Forward Deployed Financial Engineer - Platform (AI)

Location: 100% remote, based anywhere in the United States. No sponsorship or relocation assistance is available. Work your local time zone.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 USD base per year, depending on experience, skills, and location.

What you will do

• Own the deployment and operation of customer solutions, including integrations, authentication, secrets, hosting, monitoring, and release processes.
• Build internal tooling, templates, and reusable components that improve delivery speed and quality.
• Build and deliver customer-facing AI skills, routines, workflows, applications, and agents.
• Lead technical discovery with customer IT and finance teams, translating business requirements, systems, data, and constraints into deployable designs.
• Manage projects from recommendation through development, delivery, adoption, and handoff.
• Partner with Customer Success, Product, and R&D to troubleshoot issues, communicate customer needs, and shape scalable platform capabilities.

Requirements

• Strong customer-facing communication skills and the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Production experience with Python or TypeScript, SQL, REST APIs, and at least one major cloud platform.
• Experience with DevOps and infrastructure, including cloud deployment, CI/CD, authentication, secrets management, and observability.
• Experience integrating business systems through APIs and handling authentication and secrets securely.
• Experience building software and developer tooling, with a product-oriented and system-level mindset.
• Ability to work independently, manage projects, collaborate cross-functionally, and own delivery through handoff.

Nice to have

• Forward-deployed engineering, technical consulting, platform, DevOps, or broad early-stage engineering experience.
• Experience deploying LLM-based systems for real users, including production monitoring and evaluation.
• Experience with finance, accounting, FP&A, Excel workflows, ERP integrations, or other business systems.
