Undergraduate Academic Assistant

Location: hirify.global Alternate Site - Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada; most research takes place at hirify.globalO Landmark Tower offices, with some work possible off campus

Salary: $22/hour

hirify.global is a university conducting socio-cultural-ecological research through its School of Social Work and Faculty of Health and Social Development.

What you will do

• Conduct library, web, social media, and computer media searches.
• Identify and summarize findings from articles, documents, and online information.
• Collect, manage, and analyze research data, including identifying variables in selected datasets.
• Conduct content analysis and identify themes and connections among variables.
• Prepare and present research findings, reports, and revisions to research plans and materials.
• Collaborate with the team leader and research assistants, attend regular meetings, and contribute original writing to publications.

Requirements

• Currently registered in the second, third, or fourth year of an undergraduate degree.
• Maintain good academic standing.
• Experience conducting web and social media searches and writing literature reviews.
• Strong reading, comprehension, and writing skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and complete tasks independently.
• Ability to work primarily at the hirify.globalO Landmark Tower offices in Kelowna, with some off-campus work permitted.

Nice to have

• Experience using databases and spreadsheets.
• Experience using SPSS and NVivo qualitative and quantitative analysis software.
