Senior Research Scientist, Executive Engagement & Insights

What you will do

• Lead applied research studies from question framing and measurement design through analysis and publication.
• Combine proprietary pay-decision data with labor-market, survey, benchmark, and workforce data.
• Build outcome and ROI models connecting pay governance with attrition, cost, risk, and performance.
• Present findings to CHROs, CFOs, and other senior customer stakeholders, translating evidence into actionable decisions.
• Partner with product and data science teams to turn research into features, benchmarks, and reporting.
• Co-author research reports, articles, and executive briefings with claims traceable to sources.

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent depth in industrial-organizational psychology, behavioral or decision science, labor economics, statistics, or a related field.
• Track record of applying research to products, decisions, or business outcomes.
• Hands-on experience with causal and quasi-experimental methods, psychometrics, and survey design.
• Working fluency in Python or R and SQL with large, messy, real-world datasets.
• Ability to present findings to senior customers and explain the limits of the evidence.
• Ability to work within strict data-use and privacy boundaries.

Nice to have

• Experience in compensation, total rewards, pay equity, or people analytics.
• Experience with labor-market or compensation benchmark data.
• Consulting or customer-facing analytics experience.
• Published thought leadership or a public research voice.
• Experience in a startup, applied research lab, or research-to-product environment.
