What you will do
- Create and integrate AI tools and agents that support analytics, execution planning, issue detection, and outage oversight.
- Develop operational standards, work-board structures, JIRA queues, Power BI dashboards, and plant workflow tools.
- Define plant-level metrics covering generation, fuel use, demand, maintenance forecasting, and air-permit hours.
- Analyze operational data with SQL and other methods to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Support the site director and collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and environmental teams on planning and continuous improvement.
- Improve maintenance, procurement, support contracts, material processes, and operational reliability across power generation sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, management information systems, computer science, or economics.
- At least 2 years of experience in operations, data analytics, consulting, production coordination, scheduling, or planning.
- Experience with process improvement, project management, capacity modeling, process mapping, or layouts.
- Experience with operations, maintenance, and capacity planning systems, including CMMS, MRP, or ERP platforms.
- Experience using Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, or R for analysis or dynamic-system modeling.
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and identify simple, effective solutions.
Nice to have
- At least 4 years of professional experience.
- Experience creating and managing Power BI dashboards.
- Familiarity with power plant or industrial metrics, including heat rate, generation versus demand, maintenance forecasting, and environmental or air-permit tracking.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and related operations principles.
