Senior Software Engineer (C#/.NET)

Building a carrier API and operations management platform for a data-driven last-mile delivery network.

What you will do

• Design and develop backend services using C# and .NET.
• Build and evolve distributed systems with a focus on correctness, consistency, and reliability.
• Design RESTful APIs, including versioned contracts, webhooks, and long-running operations.
• Integrate real-time capabilities and frontend applications using SignalR, WebSockets, Vue, Nuxt, and TypeScript.
• Improve system clarity, maintainability, and architectural quality through thoughtful design, testing, and review.
• Communicate technical decisions, challenge assumptions, and take ownership of long-term outcomes.

Requirements

• Ability to work remotely from the United Kingdom.
• Strong experience with C#/.NET 8+, Entity Framework Core, async/await, and MediatR/CQRS.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, consistency models, event-driven patterns, idempotency, and race conditions.
• Experience with Redis caching, Azure Blob Storage, and data-modelling trade-offs.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, webhooks, long-running operations, and real-time integrations.
• Experience with Vue, Nuxt, TypeScript, or similar SPA frameworks.
