What you will do

• Perform general assignment and beat reporting under editorial supervision.
• Research and write breaking news, features, and in-depth analytical pieces for assigned publications.
• Pitch and produce enterprise stories on deadline.
• Interview industry leaders and policymakers.
• Collaborate with reporters and editors while maintaining accuracy and urgency.
• Build a portfolio of published clips through hands-on newsroom work.

Requirements

• Three published news clips; clips will be requested during initial screening.
• Prior journalism experience, including campus media.
• At the start of Summer 2027, completion of at least three years of an undergraduate program, recent graduation, or enrollment in a graduate journalism program.
• Ability to work under deadline pressure and collaborate with reporters and editors.
• Strong interest in producing accurate, high-quality journalism.
