Assistant/Full Professor of Clinical Psychology

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas, United States; full-time, 9-month, tenure-track appointment beginning Fall 2027.

What you will do

• Teach clinical psychology courses at the undergraduate and master's levels, including psychological assessment, psychopathology, and psychotherapy.
• Develop courses in an area of specialization when appropriate.
• Conduct clinical psychology research, mentor student researchers, and supervise master's theses.
• Provide clinical supervision to master's-level students.
• Pursue external research funding and contribute to the potential development of a PhD in Clinical Psychology.
• Participate in service to the department, college, university, and profession.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited program; Advanced ABD candidates may be considered for the assistant rank, provided the degree is conferred by the appointment date.
• Must be licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in Texas at the time of appointment.
• Full Professor candidates must have at least 10 years of full-time university faculty experience, including at least 4 years at the associate or comparable rank.
• Research experience or potential for research productivity, along with interest in external funding, is required.

• Psychologist licensure, preferably in Texas.
• Independent clinical experience or a research focus in Clinical Psychology.
• Experience teaching or developing undergraduate and master's-level courses.
