Production Tester (Electrical Testing)

Location: Richland, Mississippi, United States. Onsite production role with 2nd-shift hours of 3:30 PM–12:00 AM after 90 days of first-shift training.

What you will do

• Read engineering documentation, electrical drawings, AC/DC circuits, and physical wiring.
• Test the electrical and mechanical functions of switchgear products.
• Troubleshoot circuitry designs and resolve issues with colleagues.
• Work with Engineering to confirm product viability and fulfill test requirements.
• Use electrical testing equipment, meters, hi-potential ground testers, and current transformer testing equipment.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a time-constrained manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering plus two years of electrical wiring or testing experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus five years of relevant experience.
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings, AC/DC circuits, and physical wiring.
• Familiarity with electrical testing equipment, meters, hi-potential ground testers, and current transformer testing.
• Safety awareness and attention to surroundings in the testing area.
• Flexibility to work overtime Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed.
