Data/Integration Engineer (Salesforce)

Location: Remote; must be able to pass a US Government background check

What you will do

• Build an integration that imports transitioning members from personnel roster files into Salesforce.
• Work with the customer’s personnel office to define roster file formats.
• Develop parsing, field mapping, validation, matching, and duplicate handling using DoD ID numbers.
• Build exception handling and views that expose data-quality issues.
• Extend the integration pattern to four additional roster sources with different owners and formats.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with ETL, file-based data integration, data mapping, data cleansing, and Salesforce data loading.
• Experience with Department of Defense personnel data, such as MilPDS, DEERS, or DMDC.
• Experience with Salesforce external objects.
• Must be able to pass a US Government background check.

Nice to have

• Salesforce Certified Data Architect certification.
