Senior Publicist (NBC Sports)

Salary: USD 80,000–95,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute publicity strategies for NBC Sports programming, production, announcers, and coverage elements.
• Write and distribute press releases, messaging documents, bios, and media guides.
• Build and manage press lists, pitch stories, arrange interviews, and prepare spokespeople.
• Develop social media content and ideas for NBC Sports Communications platforms.
• Coordinate with Talent, Production, Programming, Marketing, and other communications teams.
• Travel to and support publicity efforts at major sporting events and respond to press inquiries.

Requirements

• 5+ years of sports-focused communications or publicity experience.
• Experience working with sports and media outlets and cultivating press relationships.
• Strong story pitching, writing, messaging, spokesperson preparation, and press inquiry skills.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience traveling and handling publicity at major sporting events.

Nice to have

• Relationships with reporters covering entertainment, music, style, or culture.
• Experience at a media company or large corporation.
• Photoshop, PowerPoint, and social media skills.
