Lead Planning Engineer - PMC (Oil & Gas)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; onshore site PMC project.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules from concept through commissioning and handover using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or comparable planning tools.
• Monitor progress against approved baselines, analyze schedule variances, and prepare recovery and mitigation plans.
• Track budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, cost performance, cash flow, and earned value.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, KPIs, dashboards, and updates on risks, delays, milestones, and deliverables.
• Manage project risk registers and analyze manpower, equipment, and material requirements to optimize resource utilization.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients while maintaining project controls documentation and supporting audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business administration, or a related field.
• 18+ years of experience in project controls, planning, scheduling, or cost control.
• Experience with construction, oil and gas, energy, infrastructure, engineering, or industrial projects, preferably in MEGA EPC environments.
• Practical experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, advanced Microsoft Excel, cost control, budgeting, schedule analysis, forecasting, and earned value management.
• Strong analytical, reporting, presentation, communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on an onshore site project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as PMP, PMI-SP, CCP, or equivalent.
• Experience with Power BI.
• Knowledge of ADNOC standards and international best practices.
