Accounting Expert (German GAAP (HGB) and German Taxes)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global office in Warszawa, Poland

hirify.global operates legal entities in Germany across production, trading, and corporate services.

What you will do

• Monitor balance sheets, P&L statements, key figures, and abnormalities under HGB and IFRS.
• Monitor statutory accounts and prepare annual statutory financial statements in alignment with Group Accounting & Tax.
• Support local tax compliance, including VAT, income tax, withholding tax, customs, and tax accounting.
• Act as the primary interface with the Shared Service Centre and coordinate with central Accounting, Consolidation, and Tax functions.
• Support accounting and tax activities for other European Group entities based on experience.
• Assist German management and operational functions with administrative matters.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Very good knowledge of HGB and solid knowledge of IFRS, including practical experience preparing HGB financial statements and related reports.
• Practical knowledge of tax laws and hands-on tax compliance experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills with a detail-oriented and compliance-focused approach.
• Solid knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Very good knowledge of German, English, and Polish is required.
