Fixed Asset Accountant

Location: Gdynia, Poland; hybrid work with presence in the Gdynia office 3 days per week.

What you will do

• Prepare and post journal entries and complete balance sheet reconciliations for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, intangible assets, accruals, and leases.
• Maintain the fixed asset subledger, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset reporting.
• Account for intangible assets and internally developed software, including amortization schedules.
• Administer lease accounting activities in Visual Lease, including reconciliations, compliance, reporting, and journal entries.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, financial statement reviews, and internal and external audits.
• Identify process improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• At least 2 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel; SAP experience with fixed assets and general ledger is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and deadline-management skills.
