Project Manager E&I

Location: Brussels, Belgium. During the design phase, 3–4 days onsite per week are required until approximately March 2027; the execution phase is expected to be full-time onsite.

What you will do

• Act as the client-side technical reference and package owner for Electrical and Instrumentation activities.
• Represent the project owner when working with engineering offices, contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Review and challenge engineering deliverables, technical specifications, calculations, datasheets, wiring diagrams, and network documentation.
• Manage E&I scope, planning, budget, quality, risks, changes, and contractor performance across the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate high- and low-voltage systems, electrical distribution, fire and gas detection, access control, interlocking systems, photovoltaic installations, and lighting.
• Support qualification, verification, technical readiness, energization, legal conformity, safety, GMP, environmental, and regulatory activities.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of engineering experience in industrial environments, with experience in large CAPEX projects.
• Strong expertise in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering and the ability to manage a complete E&I package.
• Experience managing engineering contractors, design offices, and external stakeholders, including client-representative responsibilities.
• Knowledge of multiple electrical domains, including high voltage, low voltage, electrical distribution, detection systems, access control, interlocking, and building infrastructure.
• Experience with legal conformity and energization processes, including the “3 green lights” process.
• Fluent English is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biotech, or sterile manufacturing experience.
• GMP, qualification, validation, or ASTM E2500 verification experience.
• Experience working within an EPCM project model.
• French, Dutch, or Spanish language skills.
