Crew Operator (Maritime Shipping)

Location: Piraeus, Attica, Greece; on-site

Privately owned shipping company headquartered in Piraeus, Greece, operating a growing fleet of modern eco tanker vessels and providing maritime transportation services worldwide.

What you will do

• Coordinate crew changes, travel arrangements, visas, tickets, port agents, and joining or repatriation logistics.
• Support crew planning, monitor rotations, and help ensure timely and appropriate vessel manning.
• Organize interviews, briefings, debriefings, and communication with seafarers, vessels, manning agents, and internal departments.
• Verify and maintain seafarers’ certificates, licenses, medicals, training records, and other documentation in the Crew Management System.
• Coordinate training plans, performance evaluations, development needs, and crew-related reports.
• Support compliance with MLC, STCW, Flag State, and company requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the shipping sector.
• Very good written and spoken English is required.
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications and strong digital literacy.
• Strong organizational, time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with seafarers, vessels, agents, and internal stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Familiarity with the Danaos Crew module.
