Marine Superintendent (Tanker Shipping): Ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of tanker vessels with an accent on navigational safety, marine audits, inspections, and environmental compliance. Focus on reviewing passage plans, conducting vessel and cargo audits, investigating marine incidents, supporting SIRE 2.0 readiness, and coordinating corrective actions across the fleet.

Privately owned shipping company operating a growing fleet of modern eco tanker vessels and providing maritime transportation services worldwide.
What you will do
- Provide shore-based operational guidance to Masters and senior deck officers for assigned vessels.
- Review passage plans, navigational practices, bridge resource management, and marine operational standards.
- Conduct vessel visits, navigational, cargo, mooring, and Master's Navigation Audits, as well as VDR reviews and onboard drill assessments.
- Coordinate PSC, Flag State, terminal, SIRE 2.0, and other tanker industry inspections, including follow-up on findings.
- Investigate marine incidents and operational non-conformities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor safety equipment, environmental compliance, deck maintenance, marine stores, regulatory developments, and the Marine Department budget.
Requirements
- Valid Captain's License.
- At least 3 years of experience as a senior deck officer on tanker and/or chemical vessels.
- Good written and spoken English required.
- Knowledge of maritime regulations, industry standards, tanker operations, and operational requirements.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with maritime software and digital systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, analytical, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; willingness to travel internationally and visit vessels.

- Previous shore-based experience as a Marine Superintendent in the tanker and/or chemical sector.
