What you will do
- Execute preclinical in vivo studies using established or modified protocols.
- Perform murine tumor implantation, therapeutic administration, monitoring, survival procedures, surgery, and blood and tissue collection.
- Conduct cell culture, tumor cell preparation, tissue processing, PCR/genotyping, molecular, protein, cellular, and immune-related assays.
- Document procedures, treatments, observations, samples, study records, data, and results across multiple concurrent studies.
- Develop, optimize, and document laboratory procedures and SOPs while maintaining equipment, supplies, reagents, and inventory.
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced team members and contribute to reports, presentations, posters, and publications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific area is required.
- At least 5 years of research experience is required, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree; no prior experience is required with a PhD.
- Hands-on experience with murine cancer models and preclinical therapeutic studies.
- Experience with rodent procedures, multiple treatment routes, complex or survival surgery, animal monitoring, and sample collection.
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques and experience executing research projects in an R&D laboratory setting.
- Regular and predictable onsite attendance in Memphis, TN is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with genetically engineered mouse models, including breeding, genotyping, characterization, or experimental use.
- Experience with immuno-oncology therapeutic evaluation, biomarker analysis, or translational research.
