Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Genomics)

Location: Singapore, Woodlands, NorthCoast; onsite at the Singapore design facility

What you will do

• Design complex electrical boards and contribute to power systems, cabling, communication, safety, and control systems.
• Perform parameter analysis, system modeling, simulation, board bring-up, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
• Drive electrical engineering development for embedded sequencing instruments and own instrument-level telemetry systems.
• Develop analysis and support tools for monitoring and evaluating instrument performance data.
• Identify EMI and EMC risks and recommend mitigation strategies during design and testing.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, subject-matter experts, and multidisciplinary teams on performance, reliability, cost, risk management, and product verification.

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of industry experience, or MS degree with 3+ years of industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Working knowledge of system design, simulation, modeling, data analysis, firmware, and software.
• Experience with cable assembly and wire harness design.
• Working knowledge of IEEE, ISO, and NEMA standards.
• Ability to guide multidisciplinary design teams and communicate effectively in writing, presentations, and collaboration.
