Manager, Logistics Efficiency and Effectiveness (IoT)

Location: North Chicago, Illinois, United States

Salary: USD 109,500–208,500 annually

What you will do

• Lead strategy, deployment, and lifecycle management for IoT-enabled visibility and freight-security devices.
• Develop pharmaceutical shipping solutions covering shipment visibility, product protection, exception management, chain of custody, and security controls.
• Establish KPIs, dashboards, supplier scorecards, and operating cadences for monthly and quarterly business reviews.
• Analyze logistics, device, provider, and cost data to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Drive sustainability, modal and network optimization, packaging and device reuse, cost optimization, and service enhancement.
• Coordinate change management, vendor governance, executive reporting, and strategic recommendations across global cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required in supply chain, business, engineering, operations, or a related field.
• Eight or more years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, distribution operations, supply chain transformation, or related areas.
• Experience with IoT-enabled visibility, telematics, tracking, monitoring, freight-security solutions, device lifecycle management, and vendor governance.
• Ability to lead global cross-functional teams, outsourced partners, technology vendors, and enterprise programs without direct authority.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, change-leadership, and executive presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of supply chain systems and analytics tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and project-management tools; SAP, SAP TM, BN4L, and data visualization are preferred.

Nice to have

• MBA or another advanced degree.
• Experience with pharmaceutical or regulated-product shipping, transportation risk, product protection, and quality or regulatory requirements.
