Heat Treatment Process Engineer (Metallurgy)

Location: Tianjin, China; onsite five days per week

What you will do

• Set up and maintain heat treatment processes and resolve related technical issues.
• Support metallurgical inspections covering microstructure, hardness, hardened depth, and nondestructive testing.
• Lead failure analysis for field-returned parts and coordinate scanning electron microscopy outsourcing.
• Ensure testing follows applicable standards and specifications, and provide onsite and periodic metallurgical training.
• Analyze testing data to optimize heat treatment processes and support new product and OEM part development.
• Support heat treatment equipment investment projects, facility technical management, and supplier audits.

Requirements

• Background in material science or related experience in heat treatment processes.
• Knowledge of product testing methods, tools, and quality assurance strategies.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical problems in a manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and presentation skills in Mandarin and English.
• Ability to work onsite in Tianjin five days per week.
