Frontend Engineer (TypeScript)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid with at least 2 days per week in the office. Open to candidates willing to relocate to Berlin.

Salary: €65,000–€90,000 per year, plus equity worth 25% of base salary.

koppla is building a collaborative scheduling platform for the construction industry to help project managers identify delays and disruptions before they affect project timelines.

What you will do

• Design and implement product features in collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineers.
• Build and maintain user-facing interfaces with Vue and backend services and APIs with TypeScript.
• Contribute to the architecture of the complete system.
• Participate in code reviews and apply software development, infrastructure, and deployment best practices.
• Work across frontend and backend tasks, growing toward a full-stack role.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of software engineering experience, with a primary focus on frontend development.
• Experience with TypeScript and Vue 3; familiarity with Tailwind is relevant to the frontend stack.
• Solid engineering fundamentals and the ability to write clean, efficient, maintainable code.
• Ability to balance technical trade-offs and contribute to scalability, performance, and maintainability discussions.
• Proactive, pragmatic approach and willingness to take ownership in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Ability to work from Berlin in a hybrid setup, attending the office at least 2 days per week, or willingness to relocate to Berlin.

Nice to have

• Experience with NestJS, Prisma, PostgreSQL, REST, WebSockets, AWS, Terraform, Netlify, or GitHub Actions.
• Interest in developing toward a full-stack engineering role.
