Senior Software Engineer, Site Reliability

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; hybrid work with onsite attendance Tuesday through Thursday each week

Salary: $180,000–$225,000 annual base salary, plus equity and additional total compensation components.

What you will do

• Design and build software systems for observability, incident management, problem management, and resiliency.
• Lead large, ambiguous initiatives from inception through planning, design, and delivery.
• Identify company-wide opportunities to improve service availability.
• Implement automation and tooling used across engineering services.
• Mentor engineering teams on system observability and high-availability design.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer.
• 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure such as AWS, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience leading collaborative projects from conception to delivery using Agile or Kanban methodologies.
• Experience implementing observability tooling at scale, including Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, New Relic, or Datadog.
• Deep understanding of SRE concepts, patterns, and tooling.
