TL;DR
Associate Director, Field Learning & Development - Gastroenterology (pharmaceutical field training): Developing and deploying product, disease, and customer-interaction training for commercial teams with an accent on scalable learning content, field enablement, and regulatory compliance. Focus on designing national training programs, measuring training impact, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and supporting sales meetings and field coaching.

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; onsite. Requires 25–35% national travel.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute disease, product, customer-interaction, and commercial capability training programs.
  • Build new-hire curricula, continuing education, advanced product and disease learning, and field-based training programs.
  • Create classroom, live, virtual, e-learning, and on-demand learning experiences.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Patient Educational Services, Reimbursement, Medical, and Compliance teams to align training objectives.
  • Manage the Product Review Board process and ensure training materials meet legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Measure training impact, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate agency partners, and deliver training for national and regional sales meetings.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required; an advanced degree such as an MBA or PharmD is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience, including 1 or more years leading national training, field enablement, commercial capability development, or field-based sales/account management with training, coaching, or mentorship responsibilities.
  • Experience with specialty pharmaceuticals or biologics; immunology, rare disease, gastroenterology, or related specialty experience is preferred.
  • Ability to translate complex clinical and scientific data into scalable learning content.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, influence, project management, budgeting, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Must work onsite in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States and travel nationally 25–35%.

  • Training experience and experience in the gastrointestinal marketplace.
  • Sales launch, biologic, and reimbursement experience.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Medical, and Compliance.
