Welding Robotics Production Supervisor

Location: Onsite in Sterling Heights, Michigan, United States. Full-time, 40 hours per week; ability to work first, second, or third shifts and overtime as required.

What you will do

• Manage small production teams in a fast-paced, high-volume, unionized manufacturing environment.
• Own safety, quality, throughput, cost, and team morale objectives for the assigned production area.
• Analyze production losses, bottlenecks, alarms, fault conditions, and downtime to sustain production targets.
• Allocate employees, manage absenteeism, and coach, train, and develop team members.
• Coordinate support groups and resources to resolve production and quality issues.
• Lead continuous improvement and kaizen activities focused on safety, cost, quality, throughput, and waste reduction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work any shift, overtime, and extended periods on the production floor, including walking throughout the facility and climbing stairs.
• Strong organizational, written, oral communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees while managing multiple projects.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work onsite at the Sterling Heights, Michigan work location.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and two or more years of supervisory experience in a high-volume environment.
• Experience with welding, resistance spot welding, robotic applications, robotics controls, automation systems, conveyors, or stamping.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing, body shop operations, highly automated manufacturing, or maintenance-related environments.
• Experience working in a union environment and with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement systems.
