PostgreSQL Database Engineer (RDS)

What you will do

• Build, improve, and manage PostgreSQL as a fully managed RDS database service.
• Work with customers to understand challenges, resolve critical escalations, and teach database best practices.
• Design features, plan end-to-end test scenarios, drive enhancements, and improve service performance.
• Create metrics, implement automation, improve software architecture, and resolve defects at their root cause.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and collaboration with developers, product and program managers, support teams, account teams, and customers.
• Contribute to the open-source community through forums, conferences, and feature or bug-fix code submissions.

Requirements

• Experience with PostgreSQL or software development.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders throughout the product cycle.
• Ability to work on database engineering, service reliability, performance, and automation.

Nice to have

• Experience in data engineering.
• Experience with additional database engines.
