Principal Scientist (Inflammation)

What you will do

• Lead in vitro and ex vivo biological strategy for an immune-targeting therapeutic platform.
• Design and execute in vivo studies of lymphocyte-mediated target-cell depletion, immune pharmacology, and response durability in mouse models of inflammatory disease.
• Develop immune-cell assays, including co-culture, cytotoxicity, target-cell modulation, activation, persistence, target-engagement, and pharmacodynamic readouts.
• Build translational biology capabilities covering immune-cell profiling, biodistribution, and pharmacodynamic biomarker development.
• Integrate preclinical datasets to generate mechanistic insights and support candidate selection and progression.
• Collaborate with discovery biology, protein engineering, delivery sciences, in vivo pharmacology, and translational safety teams.

Requirements

• PhD, PharmD, or MD with relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with 5 years of experience or a bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience in drug discovery or academic settings.
• More than 5 years of immunology-related research experience in industry or academia, with deep expertise in lymphocyte biology and immune-effector mechanisms.
• Strong expertise in in vitro and ex vivo immunology, primary immune-cell assays, co-culture systems, immune-mediated cytotoxicity or target-cell depletion assays, and high-parameter flow cytometry.
• Experience with preclinical mouse models, immune-cell profiling, pharmacodynamic responses, and mechanism-of-action studies.
• Strong scientific documentation, laboratory management, written communication, oral communication, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with small- and large-molecule drug discovery, ELISA, MSD, single-cell RNA sequencing, CRISPR/Cas9, and omics data analysis.
• Publications in high-impact journals and demonstrated independent scientific contributions in immunology.
• Experience identifying and validating novel therapeutic targets and approaches.
