Electrical Designer 2 - Commercial Division

Location: Eagan, Minnesota, United States; hybrid office/remote schedule based at the Eagan headquarters

Salary: $76,800–$102,400 annual base compensation

What you will do

• Produce and coordinate electrical drawings and engineering reports for commercial projects within schedule, budget, and scope.
• Prepare arc flash hazard studies, overcurrent protection coordination studies, voltage drop calculations, and short circuit analysis reports under engineering supervision.
• Collaborate with project management, estimating, field teams, and other stakeholders from project kickoff through as-built documentation and closeout.
• Review electrical designs for compliance with the National Electrical Code, local codes, project standards, and internal standards.
• Provide technical support and serve as an engineering point of contact for clients on assigned projects.
• Coach and mentor less experienced engineers and designers.

Requirements

• At least five years of significant electrical design or engineering experience.
• Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, or similar design software.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering from a non-ABET-accredited institution, a two-year degree in electrical design, or comparable work experience.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and Energy Code.
• Strong communication, collaboration, customer focus, problem-solving, and quality-delivery skills.
• Ability to work on a hybrid schedule from the Eagan, Minnesota office.
